Summer Recreation Program for 5-12 Year Olds

The Community Resource Center in collaboration with the Manchester Community Schools Migrant Education Program has been awarded a $3000 grant for the Running Fit Program. This grant has been made available through St. Joseph Mercy Saline Hospital from the Judy Ivan Healthy Communities Endowment.
The goal of the Running Fit Program is to promote healthy living by engaging young people in fun and recreation activities that might not otherwise be available to them. This program will provide children a one-day opportunity for six weeks to participate in a variety of games, sports, and swimming for any Manchester child 5 – 12 years of age.
Running Fit will be held on Fridays beginning June 26 and end July 31.There is limited space for the free enrollment. Youth will also receive new fitted athletic shoes to use for the program. Availability will be on a first come first serve basis.
