January/February Needs at CRC

Happy 2010! With the coming of the new year, many volunteer opportunities have come across the desk of the Community Resource Center. Sharing time and talents is what makes Manchester such a friendly town to live in. If you have a unique skill that you would like to share, please call or email us. We can help you connect that skill to a volunteer need someplace in our community. Also check our website at www.manchestercrc.org for other opportunities as well as information and services.
Become an active participant in the Manchester Community Tutor/Mentor program, CONNECT! This service requires a commitment of 2 hours per week before the start of the school day. Contact Cheryl Call at ccall@mcs.k12.mi.us or 734-428-7333 ext. 1145 for more information.

Individuals are needed to take tickets at athletic events. Contact should be made with Wes Gall, the Athletic Director at 428-7333.

The Manchester District Library is in need of volunteers to assist with book sorting. A commitment of 2 hours a week is needed. Contact Heather at

428-8045.

A volunteer is needed at the CRC office to help post volunteer opportunities online, write job descriptions, contact organizations and help manage a volunteer matching program. Those wishing to apply should have good writing and computer skills. Contact the CRC at 428-7722.

The Migrant Student Backpack Program is in need of backpacks (contact Peggy at PeggyA7747@aol.com
