Hi Everyone,
Hope you are making the most of the last official month of summer. Chris is on a well-earned vacation the week ending August 13. Various volunteers and board members will be at CRC offices to pick up the phones.

Soymilk
Low sodium foods (not veggies)
Oils
Shortening
Pastas

Our job finding program is in need of flash drives to allow clients to keep their own resumes and letters.

We have a client who is in desperate need of a car. More particulars can be gotten from Chris at the CRC office 734-428-7722.

As always, we have a variety of volunteer needs. The Oktoberfest and Volunteer Banquet are coming up. Call Chris at 734-428-7722 if you would like more information.

Thanks for all your support.

The American Cancer Society would like Manchester to consider hosting Relay For Life, a fundraiser benefitting the American Cancer Society and the fight against cancer. Initially, they are hoping to increase the number of Manchester teams that take part in the Relay for Life of Chelsea. The long range goal is to have 6 volunteer committee members to get us started in having our own Relay. If you are interested in more information about this volunteer opportunity, contact Hollie Bayer at Hollie.Bayer@cancer.org or 734-971-4300. Also, contact Hollie if you have an interest in being a team captain this year. More information can also be obtained at www.relayforlife.org/chelseami.

Here is your chance to see and be seen, to enjoy a delicious meal and to contribute to CRC's ongoing work in the Manchester community! Get your tickets now.

On Friday, November 13, Manchester’s volunteer community will be honored at the 22nd annual Community Resource Center’s Banquet and Fund Raiser. This year’s event promises to be loads of fun with a wonderful dinner, open bar, high quality silent auction, and a super dance band. The theme is Friday the 13th but don’t be afraid, it’s all in fun – ravens, black cats, and all.

The event is sponsored by the Chelsea Community Hospital and will be held in their dining room.
Cocktails and appetizers start at 6:15 p.m. during which attendees can bid on the silent auction items. (What a great time and place to start your Christmas shopping.)
Dinner and the awards begin at 7:15 p.m.

The band, The Elements of Sound, was such a great success last year that they have been invited back again. The evening will end with dancing.

Tickets are $45 per person. Or, you can make a special $150 donation, of which $90 is tax exempt, to the CRC and receive two tickets FREE.

Sponsorships are available to local businesses. Rates range from $200 to $1,000. Free tickets to the event are included at each level, as are special recognition as a CRC and Manchester Community supporter.

For more information or to purchase tickets call the CRC at 734.428.7722 or email manchestercrc@sbcglobal.net.
