Sunday, November 2nd • 2:00 PM • Manchester Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium
We invite you to join us for an extraordinary afternoon that combines exceptional theater with community support. Manchester’s own Breeda Kelly Miller is generously donating a performance of her acclaimed one-woman play, “Mrs. Kelly’s Journey Home,” to benefit the Manchester Community Resource Center.
This isn’t just any performance—it’s a heartfelt story that speaks to the universal experiences of family, caregiving, and finding hope in difficult times. Miller transforms between four characters, telling the moving story of her Irish immigrant mother’s journey to America and her later years with dementia. Having cared for her mother for six years, Miller brings authentic emotion and wisdom to every moment.
“When there is no cure, we have to find the joy—that’s the essence of Mrs. Kelly. There is always hope,” Miller shares. Her approach balances life’s harsh realities with genuine humor and profound hope, creating an experience that audiences describe as both moving and uplifting.
The play has toured extensively across the United States and Ireland, earning rave reviews and touching hearts everywhere it travels. Now, Miller is bringing this gift home to support the CRC’s vital services, including our food pantry and community programs that serve so many of our neighbors.
Following the performance, you’re invited to a meet-and-greet with Miller—a wonderful opportunity to connect and share stories with fellow community members.
Join us for this meaningful fundraiser. Your attendance supports the CRC’s mission while experiencing an afternoon of powerful storytelling that celebrates family, community, and resilience.
